Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (“DEI”) policy:
What is DEI?
“DEI” stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It is a term used to describe initiatives and practices aimed at creating a workplace or community that values and supports diversity, ensures equity in access and opportunities, and fosters an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected regardless of their backgrounds, identities, or perspectives.
Pacific HemFir’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (“DEI”) policy:
Pacific HemFir believes promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion is crucial to creating a healthy work environment. It’s also a moral obligation we take very seriously. After all, organizations that actively forge a way for diversity can be true agents of change in their communities and beyond. We realize the path forward is not a one-and-done process either. That’s why we’re always working hard to identify and readdress possible systemic barriers embedded in our company culture that inadvertently exclude individuals.
We also recognize that embracing equity, diversity, and inclusion just makes good business sense. In order for our association and its members to thrive in today’s world, we need to collectively attract and retain a skilled and diverse workforce, where a cross section of employees and contractors bring a unique mix of experiences, values and skills to the table. By opening the doors for others, we unlock our full potential by broadening our perspective and increasing greater opportunities to succeed.
As part of Pacific HemFir’s overall commitment to ensuring a respectful, safe and inclusive workplace where diversity is viewed as a valued asset, we encourage and welcome applications from qualified people of all backgrounds. We look forward to working with you.
